One of the major changes in Windows 8 is the new start screen with Metro UI tiles. The classic start menu and start button are replaced with a new start screen with a tiled interface in Windows 8. A lot of users were not happy with the tiled start menu as it is specifically designed for computers with Touchscreen.
But some developers out there brought back the classic start menu in Windows 8.
